CARUSMATIC™
CARUSMATIC™ Engineered Feed Systems make feeding CAIROX® solutions easy. Carus has taken years of experience in handling permanganate, and now designs and manufactures systems to safely and reliably prepare, store, and meter CAIROX® potassium permanganate as a solution or as a dry chemical. Systems have been designed to handle packages ranging from pails to drums to CYCLE BINS™ to Bulk Silos.
Making CAIROX® Solutions Easy
There are many applications for CAIROX® ranging from treatment of drinking water to sludge dewatering and odor control in wastewater plants. Additional applications include the destruction of contaminant in effluent water systems, metals surface treatment, remediation of hazardous contaminants, and industrial waste treatment. Below you will find a brief description of the types of feed systems that Carus has developed for potassium permanganate.
Dry Chemical Feeder
Carus offers a stainless steel volumetric, helical type dry chemical feeder. The Model CXF-1000™ Helix Feeder is specifically designed for potassium permanganate feed service. Various options and accessories are available to meet a wide range of application needs. Our helical feeders provide a cost effective, reliable method for feeding CAIROX® potassium permanganate with minimal installation requirements. A popular and effective optional chemical transfer device used in conjunction with our helical feeder is our CXDH-9000™ Drum Handler, capable of transferring potassium permanganate from 330 pound drums directly to the feeder hopper, thus reducing operator exposure to the chemical.
Innovative Custom-Engineered Feed Systems
In addition to helical feeders, Carus offers custom-engineered CAIROX® potassium permanganate feed systems. Systems are complete, pre-packaged units that provide efficient, dust-free methods for storing, mixing and feeding CAIROX® potassium permanganate. Each system is custom designed to meet application requirements. Various control schemes are available to assure proper interfacing with your in-plant chemical distribution control network. Solution Feed Systems
Solution Feed Systems utilize a jet pump eductor that easily and efficiently conveys CAIROX® potassium permanganate from the chemical shipping container into a solution mix tank. Various pumping and feeding configurations are available to control solution concentrations feeding to application points. A typical system consists of one or two mixing/storage tanks, a pump/eduction skid, control panel, related instrumentation and piping and wiring that together provide a complete and safe operating feed system. Solution Feed Systems provide a safer (dust free), cleaner, more accurate and efficient method for feeding CAIROX® potassium permanganate than does a basic dry feeder. Drum and CYCLE BIN™ containers are both compatible with these systems.
CYCLE BIN™ Feed Systems
CYCLE BIN™ Feed Systems are specifically designed for use with the 1500 kg Carus CYCLE BIN™ containers. These safe, dust-free, efficient systems can range from a simple discharge stand, to a complete, packaged feed system when combined with helical feeders or a Solution Feed System.
Liquid Feed Systems
MOBILOX™ is a portable, self-contained oxidation system developed specifically to be used with RemOx™ L ISCO Reagent sodium permanganate in a remediation application.
