Soil & Water Remediation

Carus Corporation has been an active participant in the hazardous remediation industry since the late 1990s. Our hazardous remediation team is dedicated to the support and growth of in situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), bioremediation and other emerging technologies.

In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) with potassium and sodium permanganates had its beginnings over 10 years ago. Since that time, many sites have been successfully treated for organic compounds including chlorinated ethenes (TCE, PCE, DCE & VC) phenolics, explosives, and many other contaminants of concern. Improvements over the last five years in delivery methodologies oxidant demand understanding have greatly increased the success of ISCO projects.

The RemOx® brand of potassium and sodium permanganate is produced specifically for the remediation industry to meet regulatory requirements. A Certificate of Analysis (C of A) for each manufacturing lot is provided with every order.

As most of the projects we have worked on in the past have included a bio remediation component to the sites overall remedial plan, Carus recently entered into the bio remediation market with the acquisition of DBI Remediation Products and their CAP 18, CAP 18ME and StimulOX products. CAP 18 and CAP 18ME are vegetable oil based anaerobic biostimulation products while StimulOX is a persulfate and solid peroxide based aerobic biostimulant. This acquisition will allow Carus to provide our customers bio remediation products with the same level of quality and customer service we provide our permanganate sales.
